Tour Map
A tour map is an image, such as a floor plan or a site map, with pins on it. Each pin opens a panorama. Visitors open the map from a button in the tour and jump straight to any room.
Set the map image
- Add your floor plan or site map to Image Assets.
- Open the Tour Map section and choose that image as the map.
You can replace the image later. Pins keep their places, because pin positions are stored as percentages of the image, not as pixels. Use an image with the same proportions if you want the pins to stay on the same rooms.
Add pins
- Add a pin and place it on the map.
- Choose an image for the pin from Image Assets (a small PNG icon works best).
- Choose the destination panorama the pin opens.
A pin's position is the center of the pin, and every pin is drawn at 5% of the map's width, so pins look the same in the editor and in the tour on any screen.
Map size in the tour
The map has a scale setting (default 0.75). It sets how much of the free screen area the map may use, from 0.1 to 1.0. The map always keeps its proportions. On phones the map uses at least 92% of the free area so the pins stay big enough to tap.
What visitors see
When a tour has a map, a Tour map button appears in the toolbar at the top right of the tour. It opens the map in a pop-up; clicking a pin switches to its panorama and closes the map. Visitors close the map with the close button, Esc, or by clicking outside it. The map button works in 3D scenes too, so a map pin is also a way out of a 3D scene.
Remove the map
Deleting the tour map removes the image link and all pins from the project. The image file itself stays in Image Assets.
